Damian Chan

Chief Architect / Co-Founder

After practicing architectural and interior design for over a decade in pure design firm, Damian thought that many contracting companies could never deliver what designer’s needs and imaginations.  Therefore,  he co-founded Spark Studio with Selva in 2018, aiming at bringing design excellence and construction craftsmanship together serving both the designer and client needs. He acts as the chief designer for Spark. 

Damian is a licensed architect in the State of New York, USA. Prior to setting up Spark, he studied and practiced architecture in the US. He received his Master of Architecture degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also the founder of Matter Design, which specializes in large scale architectural design. 

Selva Ku

Chief Project Director / Co-founder

Selva is an excellent designer and project manager. He has been in the fit-out industry for more than 15 years. He was first trained as an agile interior designer in the US. He then practiced design in San Francisco before heading back to Hong Kong. 

Selva co-founded Spark Studio with Damian in 2018 in bringing his extended experience construction into the team. He oversees all the construction and project deliveries at Spark. On top of that, Selva also involves in the very early stage of multiple high profile projects that Spark is currently working on, to make sure the design could be realized and also achieved in a economical way. 

Selva received his interior design degree from SF State University. Prior to setting Spark, Selva apprenticed with Hong Kong Jockey Club, Starbucks, Retro Design and as well as DWP.
